An interesting article from PTC as it hits close to home for us here at LNS. The bike-sharing movement was a commuter solution to the ever increasing city traffic congestion. However, it has also created a problem of its own: what about helmets? From a technological standpoint, designing a machine that dispenses helmets has proven to be a challenge until now. Recent MIT grads have created what they believe to be the best possible solution: HelmetHubs. Each machine can hold 36 helmets which can be rented for $2 per 24 hours.
