State-of-the-Art Alcoa Facility to Cut in Half Energy Used to Recycle Aluminum for Forged Wheels

Last week, Alcoa announced that its $21 million casthouse expansion plan is forecasted to cut the amount of energy used to recycle aluminum from forged wheels in half. Not only will this reduction in energy usage decrease the omission of greenhouse gases, but simultaneously increase the overall efficiency and sustainability of Alcoa’s manufacturing process.
