EQT Acquires IFS
Earlier this week EQT has acquired shares of the Industrial and Financial system of IFS. Commenting on the transaction is LNS Research Principal Analyst, Dan Miklovic, “The purchase of a controlling interest in IFS by EQT is a natural evolutionary step, and should benefit existing IFS customers. As software companies mature, and founders look to retire, the options are generally limited. EQT has an established reputation of investing in companies that have a strong future as opposed to a firm that might quickly flip their investment. So, prospects and existing customers should see this as maturing of IFS and look forward to continued investment in product functionality and services.” To read more on this click here.

And while this video is an entertaining display of man-and-machine power, it urges the question, is this a best practice of safety in an industrial workplace? Aside from raising safety concerns, the time spent on perfecting such a trick also brings risk management into question. At LNS Research, we recognize environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and quality as some of the core pillars to achieving operational excellence. What are your thoughts?
