In mid-October, we released the industry’s first Solution Selection Guide for EQMS. The following is an abbreviated analysis on the vendor Intelex.
Choosing an EQMS solution is a process that can consume considerable resources and be a source of much confusion for industry executives. To help smooth this process, LNS believes our EQMS Solution Selection Guide should be the first stop on the journey. With 18 of the market’s top vendors covered in depth, it provides executives with everything needed to make a shortlist of potential EQMS solutions.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be blogging about vendors listed within the publication, touching on strengths, weaknesses, functionalities, industries served, technology architectures and more. The information provided is based on a number of briefings with vendors as well as our own analyses of the market and quality management strategy.
This week, we’re covering Intelex, a Toronto-based software provider. Over the past 18 years, Intelex has become a notable player in the both the Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) and the EQMS spaces.
A Brief Overview of Intelex
Intelex’s solutions can be implemented independently or as part of a complete EH&S and quality management package. With a strong vision and understanding of the connection between quality and EH&S, Intelex offers an EHSQ suite, encompassing multiple areas in one solution. The vendor recently released V6, which is fully web-based with preconfigured modules.
In the past, Intelex has had success in the Food and Beverages (F&B) industry, particularly with the management of food safety. Its EHSQ suite is made up of a number of preconfigured modules, which are a good fit for many business processes and industries beyond F&B, including aerospace, construction, and education. In addition to F&B, Intelex has strength in serving Metals, Minerals, and Mining as well as Electric, Oil, and Gas.
Intelex’s web-based solution is scalable across business processes and enterprises. Its functionality touches many areas, including non-conformance/corrective and preventive action management and supplier quality management. The vendor has strength in compliance management, risk management, and food safety. The flexibility of the pre-configured solution makes it a good choice for users looking to get up and running quickly. It’s also proven useful for smaller organizations and those with other resource constraints.
